This recent 3 days, I'm having flu + fever; sneezing non-stop, terrible headaches, stomach cramps and apparently watching anime and kdrama can't heal this annoying painful feeling.
But today I just updated my Line Play to the latest 2.0 version. Here's my review:

Loading... it kinda takes a long while...
But adorable front page!

Happy Eid!

I hope it is not too late to wish everyone, Eid Mubarak! ^^

Sorry, I'm using the old picture of Zen and Rhea with their last year's Baju Raya as for this year I did not manage to sew them any since I was too busy. :(

Then, our group, The Dolly Carnet have successfully organized 3 activities in Kyanime 2013; handling a Doll Exhibition booth, a basic Doll Face Up Workshop (and contest), and a Kids Dolly Make Up Colouring contest. ^_^

As for myself, I only managed to cosplay only one character... without the prop. ;_;
Overall, just wait for the 3-days event pictures from me soon! Still in the editing process (Oh God... I'm so lazy!).

Now that I'm back in Sibu, I need to find a cheap portable sewing machine to proceed with my sewing commission. I had troubles in hand sewing nowadays. I feel bad to keep this project stuck on too long. :/ I don't like that 'berhutang' feel.

So yeah, see you in the next post! ^_^

2013 Events

Assalammualaikum and Good morning!

Finally I get back home in Sibu after few weeks in KL and Kuching. Tomorrow (Tonight) will be the 1st day of Ramadan. Happy Fasting everyone!

Anyway, I have been worried about few things...

I'm trying to finish a few doll clothes commission. Aaahhh... handsewing is just too slow! Few needles broke and my cat Bilem is seem to be an anti-doll. Lucky she only attack my dollies instead of Izuan's MH Boy (maybe cuz Puma is bald) .

Second... Kyanime 2013 is approaching.
Our group, The Dolly Carnet is trying to hold a 'Doll Face Up' activity for the public. However since we're quite new at this... pulling up Sponsors are veeerrryyyyy hard... Because local stores here are not too keen of Doll collectors. It is okay. I hope that this workshop can educate the public more. :) InsyaAllah... If you happen to know anyone who can help us with sponsorship (prizes and materials such as Barbie Dolls, art supplies), it would be appreciated if you could help us, please! ;___;

And oh! Besides from the workshop, of course we will be joining the Gallery booth! This year, we will be doing Fairytale theme! ^_^ Lots of display need to be done! Yikes!

Third, Anime Gathering 2013! XD
So far, we are invited to do a Doll Walk at the Summer Shopping Mall for the Pre-Anime Gathering on 4th August. I might not be joining since I only can go back to Kuching somewhere nearing Hari Raya. But have to leave this to the rest of the admins. ^^ Ganbatte girls!!

To conclude all these... I just pray for all the best! InsyaAllah... Everything will be fine. :)

Happily Ever After~!

This morning, Hairul shared an INTERESTING new cartoon show by Mattel called "Ever After High".

Are you a Royal or a Rebel?

It is somewhat a princessy version of Monster High. :P And most of them really resemble the Monster High characters...

"Welcome to the world of Ever After High.
This isn’t your mother’s fairytale; this is where you choose your destiny!"

I've fallen in love with them! Kyaaaa~!!! XD
The outfits are up to Lolita standard which is HOMG~ Soooo mouth-watering~! *i sound like a fashion perv*

Here, you can watch the video/ webisodes:

Great opening, great song! *o*
The royals are somekind of... stuck-up in this first episode IMO... ._.
However, I can see... Cheshire Cat, Queen of Hearts, and Little Bo Peep's daughters?

Some saw Alice! :D

Just imagine, the dolls that Mattel will produce~! *drools*
I'm so gonna get Blondielocks and Madeline Hatter! And Red Riding Hood's daughter! And... *list goes on*
Oh well... BJD plan? I don't know anymore! Haha! Seriously, I can't wait! XD

Well, I have to watch more~! Do subscribe to Ever After High in Youtube! ^_^

YSK & Mattel Malaysia Monster High Contests

It's quite an old event really. ._. *dah basi*
However, I wanted to share with you about this interesting contest that being held by Mattel and YourShoppingKaki, started since December last year till February. :D

There were 3 contests overall; first - Makeover Contest, second - Fashion Design Contest, and third - Gadget/Accessories Contest.

For the Makeover contest, I chose to dress up like Clawdeen 'Dead Riding Hood' version since I have my red hood from my Red Riding Hood lolita outfit. ^^ Then, I put on my gold contact lens (originally for my Dragon Slayer cosplay) and other info on the makeups are as in below:

Foundation : Mary Kay Timewise in Beige 4
Powder : Ronasutra in Mocha
Blush : Kate Cheek Colour in OR-1
Lips : stage lipstick in Rock and Rose (red), Mary Kay lipgloss in Pink Diamonds
Eyes: In 2 It liquid eyeliner in Black, Eyeshadows are random; red part was from lipstick, purple colour palette from SilkyGirl, Magenta shade from MAC Hello Kitty Too Dolly quad.
And I used Photoshop to enhance the colour of my skin to make it darker. Since I'm usually using Ronasutra in Sawo Kuning shade.

Please view other pictures here: YSK FB. Just look at those amazing makeovers!! Of course I don't have a chance to win this. Hahaha!! XD

For the second contest, check the original link here: YSK Fashion Design contest.

Ahh... I love thee Operetta!!
Kaki tak muat masuk kertas. :X

Then, the last contest is about Gadget or Accessories creations for the ghouls.
I designed a carry case for the dolls. Something that I would like to have to bring around the dolls. For now I'm only using plastic container and *coughs* I need more!

Who doesn't love Steampunk stuff? *_*

So, among all contests, my Operetta Pin-up outfit design is lucky enough to win one prize. Yayyyy!!! XD Tough competition after all! Phew~!!

The result is here: http://yourshoppingkaki.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-scariest-of-them-all.html
Not including the Gadget contest result though.

And I received Robecca Steam doll!!

Yayyyy!!! Thank you YourShoppingKaki and Mattel Malaysia!!!

Barbie Repaints 2nd trial

Today I went to repaint the Barbie (Thank you for the dolls Hairul! ♥) for the 2nd time. XD
This time I'm using Soft Pastel and watercolour pencils (black and brown) with few brushes, and gloss.

Sorry for the noisy pictures.

'Getah sayur'. :X

Gloss on the lips and at some eye parts.

Again... I forgot to buy white watercolour pencil and white acrylic paint. T_T
Therefore the teeth and eyes part are kinda not clean looking. And I still need to practise on the eyebrows. ^^

Sexy pose~

With Flash.

Hopefully I can buy the needed materials soon!
Want to try to make another repaint. ^_^

Barbie Repaints First trial

It's been quite awhile that I wanted to try repainting doll faceups. Bought watercolour pencils, MSC spray, gloss, and thinner to start things off. But to my horror, I didn't have any white watercolour pencil so I just used normal colour pencil.
Aaahh!!! I think I drew the eyes too big. Lol. And I found out that if you use normal colour pencils (white is kinda ok), it will stain on your doll.
And it is best to use acrylic paints to pop up the eyes. Using pencil colours are okay but kinda... dull to me.

Please welcome my new boy, Song Joongki. X3

Yes... gave him the same name as the Korean actor.

He is originally an Isul Mori Motonari.

He came in nude with extra wigs and a pair of shoes.
Thank you so much to Hairul for giving me the chance to have my own Isul. ^___^

Happy White Day 2013 from the boys of Dollygasmic!, Gwaine Arthemus and Alexei Yonghwa. ^^
I guess they are busy packing the chocolates and cakes for their girlfriends! (Non for me? ;_;)

There is a happy news too! ^____________^
Remember my last entry yesterday? I was so devastated that I lost the chance to buy that Isul Kujo? Later that evening, an angel wearing the medical doctor uniform came by and chanted a spell~~ It's definitely magical (with a small price) and Alhamdulillah~ I'm so so SO HAPPY!!! I'm getting an Isul! XD

Thank you so much Ya Allah... you have given me rezeki after a thunderstorm... and you granted me such a great friend! :') Syukur Ya Allah! *terharu*

Jodoh?

I'm so so so not happy. :'( *Cries*
Was busy saving to get the dolls that I wanted, at the same time waiting for my part time salary to be deposited.

Once, I aimed to buy a 2nd hand Taeyang Captain Hook in TM... It was there for around a year...  Then I thought that TY must be waiting for me. I was finally came up with the fund to buy it, but it was sold out just in a few minutes. Why on the same day?? I cried 'gila-gila'. OK. No 'jodoh'.

Then, I saw this Isul Mao... Oh gosh! He's totally my type! Aahhhh~~ I was so gonna name it 'Yuu' because he reminds me of my favourite guitarist from Merry. But the price is quite expensive. Ok, no jodoh as well... If the price is over RM300, for sure it will be quite hard for me to buy.

After that, I saw Jimmy X! The clothing was my type, but definitely not his hair style. But he was in TM for quite a while... The price is cheaper than Isul Mao. And again, I thought maybe it was meant for me... and it sold out.  Ha ha ha! ;_;

Then, a wonderful thing happened... browsed on Ebay and found an auction for Taeyang Gyro Steampunk. The bidding ended well and I won it together with shipping from Korea for less than RM200~! Woohoooo!!!! I wasn't expect I got a TY Gyro since he is limited edition and the market price was RM500+. My jodoh. XD

Now currently, I have been aiming the nude Isul Kujo Kazuya from TM for a while. I was kinda happy because the price is not that steep to be compared with the full set. It's okay, since it's been there in the website for quite a long while, I guess it's my time to save again. But NOOOO!!! He was sold out today! TAT And yesterday, I lost Dal Sakura too... Supposed to get her as well, but my friend accidentally forgotten about our deal. oTL

Sigh... what to do... no jodoh... :(

p/s: Jodoh means, something/someone that have been destined to be yours.

PoupeeGirl - 12 March 2013

Today's look:

Fashion brand community - poupeegirl

Wow...It's been a while that I didn't login to PoupeeGirl... There are a lot of cute poupeegirls' screenshots and items... But the saddest part is that all of the items are very expensive. Aaaahhh... and I still stuck with the old wardrobe for my poupeegirl~ Oh those days when I always spent my real money  to buy the ribbons especially when there were fukubukuro offers!
And now, I'm just stuck reminiscing the anything-for-games-girl-old-university-student me.

Anyway, the white maxi in the picture above was only 5 ribbons and bought from the community market.

Kyanime 2012 - The Dolly Carnet Day 1

Ha! It's been almost a year that I should have made a blog post about this. :X

On last June 2012, The Dolly Carnet team had opened a booth in Kyanime event. I came back to Kuching a few days earlier before the event and settle up some doujin printing and other merchandise to sell. We wanted to make some activities but we had a tough time to figure out the gifts since we don't have any money to start with. Maybe next time, if God's willing.

So on the first day of Kyanime, we met up at the Hills. However on that morning, only Vela and I were present, Uepu went straight to work, and Teddy managed to drop by for a while to bring her dolls and later too she had to go to work. We were given 2 long tables, I thought they should be enough to do 2 sections; one for dolls, and one for Lolita. Ah yes... we collaborate our gallery with Lolita fashion as well...

On to the pictures.
*Warning: Lots of pictures ahead.

Decorate-It-Yourself - Doll Storage and Carrier

I have made the original post of this entry here.

However, I'll just copy-paste the entry with a few new info. :D
Everybody knows that D.I.Y. stands for Do It Yourself, but in this post, I'll name it 'Decorate-It-Yourself' since I didn't entirely make the whole thing; just put up some nice pretty little things to liven it up. ^^

What you will need is any container you have lying around the house. I found an old toolbox where I kept my junks like cute little erasers, school badges, brooches, tooth, etc (you don't wanna know more)...

The toolbox is a perfect container to put all my Re-ment and Megahouse miniatures!

Then, you'll need the things for deco:

1. Super glue. I'm using the glue gun.
2. Laces, ribbons, strings, etc...Whatever you like.
3. Scissor
4. Some patience...

Aaahh... it's over a year that I did not update about this gathering even in The Dolly Carnet's blog. I wanted too, but it seems that all of the pictures are gone inside my hubby's pc nor my back up folders. >_< Maybe I kept them inside my laptop which is...I need to go back to Kuching to retrieve the files back and the laptop is quite 'rusty' due to old age. :(

However, let's continue with the memories that I still somewhat remember well on that particular day. :)

Finally! After a few tears and scratches, Dollygasmic! is up online! ^_______^
Thank you everyone who listened to my rants. Hehehehe!
Please browse around, enjoy the pictures, comment, and follow me (the button is located above on your right).

Ah... one more thing...
The layout was tested on Google Chrome platform with 1360x768 resolution.
I am not sure how it looks like on other browsers but I am pretty sure that IE will make it look pretty messed up. So please please avoid using IE when browsing this blog. ;_;
